Flowing Grace reimagines the biblical miracle of the five loaves and two fish through a rich, abstract vocabulary. Rather than depicting the scene literally, Konju transforms it into a cosmic dance of provision, abundance, and divine rhythm. Circles, fish-like forms, and radiant arcs coalesce into a tapestry of motion and blessing.
At the center, heavily textured orbs and swimming arcs represent the loaves and fish, their golden tones glowing like sacred seeds. Threading through the canvas are wavy lines in blue, white, and ochre—like streams of grace or currents of divine intention—binding the symbolic elements into a unified whole.
The composition moves upward: from the base of deep burgundy, navy, and multicolored rings—reminiscent of humanity’s diversity—to a shower of golden verticals descending from above. This upward pull and downward light give the painting a liturgy of movement—as if the miracle is still unfolding, radiating outward beyond the canvas.
This is not a static retelling, but a living interpretation, inviting viewers to step into the wonder of provision not just past, but present and eternal.
