English Intro

“This is a very special piece—a quadriptych made of four identical canvases titled ‘Continuum of Seasons’
As you stand in front of this panoramic artwork, your eyes can travel from left to right, almost like flipping through an epic book of time. What this piece describes is the most irreversible, grandest power in nature—the orderly turning of the seasons. This natural rhythm hasn’t changed for thousands of years, and the shifting of time and seasons never stops for anyone.
When I was creating this piece, I was thinking deeply about the weight of time. Look closely, starting from the far left: that vibrant patch of fresh green and tender yellow is like ‘Spring,’ where everything wakes up. Right next to it, the colors start to spread out, blending blue skies and lush greens into a deeper, blooming ‘Summer.’ Then, the canvas hits you with a powerful shock—that’s ‘Autumn,’ a mix of golden yellow, fiery red, and earthy tones, carrying both maturity and turning points. Finally, on the far right, it turns into a pure, cold, and deep sapphire blue and snow white—that’s ‘Winter,’ where everything settles down into stillness.
During the creative process, I was deeply shaken by this massive sense of time. The turning of the seasons never stops for anyone. No matter how badly we want to hold onto the blooming flowers of spring or the gorgeous colors of autumn, time always pushes forward at its own pace—cruel yet beautiful, stubborn yet completely free. Isn’t life just like this irreversible, orderly flow of seasons?
Since time can never pause, what kind of mindset should we hold as we walk through these four seasons?
My answer is hidden right inside these dancing, splattered lines. Do you see those white, yellow, and black lines cutting across the canvases? Those are the tracks of life I left behind in different seasons. And do you see those overlapping, connecting brushstrokes I left between each season? That is my tribute to the endless cycle of the earth, and my way of saying thank you for how nature and time take care of us!
I believe that when faced with time that cannot stay, our only true response is to fully embrace the unique look and feel of every single season. When spring comes, go all out to feel the joy of awakening. When summer is blazing, experience the absolute peak of life force. When the autumn wind blows, appreciate the shock of harvest and fading coexisting together. And when winter snow covers the ground, learn to quietly settle down and look inward.
We really cannot stop time, and we can’t even negotiate with it. But we can leave our own unique footprints and memories in each different season.
‘The Orderly Flow of Seasons’ is my response to time, and a reminder to my own life. Using rich paint and fluid lines, I’ve carved those uncatchable seasons straight onto the canvas.
When you stare into this painting and watch the seasons flow right before your eyes, I hope you feel a sense of release and peace in your heart. May we all make this journey absolutely worth it within the orderly flow of our own life’s seasons, leaving behind the most beautiful, regret-free traces of life in every single moment.”
