English Intro

“I titled this piece “Lofty Spirit over the Vast Autumn Waters and Endless Sky”
Don’t you immediately feel this massive, all-encompassing span? My hope is that you don’t just see a piece of scenery here; I want you to look through this landscape and see a powerful soul. I want you to hear the music from the heavens.
First, let’s look at the calmness when facing our environment.
Look at the water at the bottom of the canvas. Even though it’s cold autumn water, I used thick, steady blues and whites to layer up a peaceful depth. There are no turbulent waves—it just silently catches and holds everything coming down from the sky. This represents the calmness and grounding we should have inside when facing life’s constant changes. No matter how noisy or cold the outside world gets, the deepest part of your soul remains like this water: deep and unbothered.
Next, let’s take in this noble, grand span of the soul. Look at the upper part of the painting. That massive cloud taking over almost half the sky is the ‘grandness’ I wanted to express the most. It’s not just a cloud; it’s the proud stance of a soul taking a big stride. I used wild, unrestrained brushstrokes to make the clouds bloom with light against the dark night, and I even blended in fast, diagonal slashes on the left. This is what I wanted to tell you: a person’s heart should have a span of thousands of miles. Don’t be bound by your current struggles, and don’t be limited by a narrow perspective. Be like this vast sky and giant cloud—noble, proud, and open to everything.
Finally, let’s see the light within the chaos.
I intentionally used high-contrast tones—the dark night sky, the chilling cold water, and that blazing, almost sacred white of the cloud. This painting tells a story: no matter how difficult or chaotic the environment is, as long as we hold onto our great purpose, our inner strength can carve out light in the darkness. It’s a certainty that goes beyond time and space.
When you stand in front of this painting, I hope you feel your breathing take on a deeper meaning, your mind open up wide, and your ears catch that symphony that belongs only to you…
May we all live out that noble, free, and vast existence in the grand landscape of our lives.”
