English Intro

“I gave this piece a title packed with a sense of battle: “In the Face of Conflict”
Looking at this painting, you might feel a wave of pressure, or even a suffocating sense of chaos. But that is exactly the reality I wanted to show.
This isn’t a painting created to please the eyes. This is a real experience from the battleground of my soul—a moment where I stood face-to-face in a clash with reality.
As long as we’re alive, it’s impossible to avoid conflict. As long as you’re still breathing, as long as you still want to move forward, conflict will follow you like a shadow.
Does your life ever feel like you’re trapped and under attack from all sides?
Look at those color blocks violently smashing into each other. I used a lot of blacks, dark purples, and fiery reds, cutting across each other to form countless chaotic lines. This represents being completely surrounded in life. Sometimes it’s friction between people—a collision of personalities and interests. Sometimes it’s a conflict between you and your environment—the frustration of your ideals hitting a wall of reality. There’s even the conflict between us and time or space—that powerlessness of not being able to keep up with time, or go back to the past. On this canvas, these lines have no way out; they are crashing around everywhere.
But will you look at this chaos face-to-face and shout, ‘Bring it on!’?
The heart of this painting lies in that tension right in the center, forcefully tearing open the darkness. I want to tell you a truth: you cannot hide from conflict. When you turn around and run, the conflict will only keep growing behind your back, becoming a permanent nightmare. When I was painting this, I had only one thought in my mind—to look directly at this chaos and scream, ‘Bring it on!’ The exact moment you lift your chin, stand tall, and look right into the eyes of conflict—that’s when a miracle happens.
Do you believe that conflict only goes away after you face it?
Look closely. Even though the canvas is still vibrant and intense, if you observe carefully, you’ll notice that those sharp edges are actually starting to blend where they meet in the center. This is what I really wanted to say: conflict only transforms and truly moves away after you face it head-on. Otherwise, conflict will always just be conflict. It will stay stuck in your heart, turning into a toxic weight you can’t get rid of. I used these splattered colors to represent that release after the fight.
I dedicate this painting to everyone currently struggling through a conflict.
Don’t look down, and don’t look away. Stare right back at the opponents that cause you pain, anger, and frustration. The moment you have the courage to stand face-to-face with them, you’ll realize you’ve already won.
Because the ultimate strength has never been about wiping out conflict. It’s about having the courage and wisdom to look it right in the eye. Let’s do this together!”
