“Welcome. Step inside the mystery of this piece, titled ‘Metamorphosis’

When you first glance at this canvas, it might feel incredibly mysterious. For a moment, you might even struggle to find a concrete object to rest your eyes on. And you’re right—this is a purely abstract work. While creating it, I boldly used two completely different color systems and visual languages to capture a phenomenon that is extremely rare in our lives, and even in the entire universe: ‘fusion and breakthrough.’

Follow my brushstrokes as they move across the canvas. See those vibrant emerald greens and neon greens weaving together with the deep blacks and understated gray-silvers in the background? That green is like a treasure box suddenly cracked open in the dead of night, radiating a faint yet dazzling glow—exactly like an ‘Metamorphosis’ lying quietly in the dark, waiting to complete the process.

Emeralds are incredibly precious. But precisely because they are so rare and unique, their true value can hardly be accurately measured by worldly standards.

And the ‘fusion and breakthrough’ shown in this painting works just like that treasure box. Look at those lines twisting, flowing, and splattering outward like climbing vines or stellar orbits. At times, they are swallowing each other, completing a ‘fusion.’ At other times, they erupt with explosive force, tearing through the dull black background, achieving one beautiful ‘breakthrough’ after another.

Sometimes, this force behaves exactly like the evolution of cosmic space—when two galaxies collide and fuse across millions of light-years, finally breaking free from the shackles of gravity to give birth to a brand-new supernova. It is so massive, so mind-blowing! Yet, to our naked eyes looking up at the night sky, it appears so distant and completely ‘abstract.’

The milestones of our lives often hide an emerald treasure box just like this.
When we try to break through the status quo or attempt to fuse two completely different ideas together in life, that process is usually full of struggle, massive, and entirely abstract. Others might not understand what you are holding onto, and they can’t estimate the value of what you are creating. But only you know that the exact second fusion and breakthrough happen, you have already unlocked the most precious treasure deep within your soul.

‘Metamorphosis’ is my tribute to all those ‘invisible transformations’ in life.
