“This piece has a very poetic, listening title: “Promenade of Light”

It captures a true sensory memory from deep inside my soul—a moment on an autumn day when I walked alone into a path of fiery maple leaves. It’s a symphony of loneliness and abundance.

Please, try to quiet your mind. Let’s walk together into this deep path, completely drenched in the colors of autumn, guided by my brushstrokes.

The first thing that hits your eyes must be the intense impact of the red maples, right? That blazing, fiery red on the right side of the canvas is something I intentionally layered with heavy colors and powerful brushstrokes. Autumn maples are aggressively beautiful. That rich red and orange crash into your vision all at once, giving you an unparalleled shock. But on the left, I blended in deep greens, quiet blues, and even left a few shadows in the depths of the trees. This sharp contrast in colors is like a quiet conversation between the bright, noisy outside world and the lonely world inside us.

What happens when you walk down a path like this all by yourself? There’s no one else here—just me, and the world in front of me. Walking alone often gives the illusion of loneliness. But here, what you’ll actually feel is an ‘abundant solitude.’ When the outside world goes quiet, nature’s light and shadow begin to dance above your head and beneath your feet. Sunlight pierces through the treetops, creating that vertical splash of gold and bright white in the center, pouring onto the damp path and throwing back shimmering reflections. In moments like this, you realize that solitude makes all your senses incredibly sharp.

And that’s when you start to hear your own footsteps. Because the environment is so quiet, the entire world is stripped down to just one sound—the steady, clear rhythm of my feet pressing into the fallen leaves and soil. Those footsteps echo through the quiet valley. Isn’t that what life feels like sometimes? On those long journeys where it feels like you have to walk completely alone, it’s precisely because there are no distractions that you can hear your own heartbeat so clearly, and feel the raw strength of your feet on the ground. That’s not confusion; it’s a sense of being grounded. With every single step, you reconfirm your own existence.

There’s a very special emotion when that grounded feeling blends with the shifting light. At the very bottom of the painting, I made the texture look like reflections after a rain—colorful, yet stable. This symbol means that no matter how unpredictable the light above gets, and no matter how gorgeous or dim the scenery along the way is, as long as your core is steady, that grounded feeling of moving forward step by step will give you a massive sense of security. The moment your steady steps cross paths with nature’s sacred light, this indescribable, special emotion just wells up inside you. It’s a sense of release—connecting with the universe, and making peace with yourself.

When you stand in front of this painting, I hope you can temporarily unpack the noise of the outside world, and just listen to the footsteps echoing from that beautiful path. I hope you, too, can find your own grounded strength and emotion in the shifting lights and shadows of life, moving forward, one step at a time.”
